David Magerman is a co-founder and managing partner at Differential Ventures.
Previously, he spent the entirety of his career at Renaissance Technologies, widely recognized as the best quantitative hedge fund management company in the world. He helped found the equities trading group at Renaissance, joining the group in its earliest days, playing a lead role in designing and building the trading, simulation, and estimation software. On an extended garden leave from quantitative finance, he is looking to use his data science, software development, and statistical modeling expertise to help Israeli startups succeed in the global marketplace.
David holds a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University where his thesis on Natural Language Parsing as Statistical Pattern Recognition was an early and successful attempt to use large-scale data to produce fully-automated syntactic analysis of text. David also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences and Information from the University of Pennsylvania.
Nick Adams is a co-founder and managing partner of Differential Ventures and an investor on ZeeTV's new startup fundraising show 'Break Through the Crowd.'
Previously, Nick was a Venture Partner at Supernode.vc, f.k.a. Flatiron Investors, in New York City where he evaluated seed- stage SaaS companies and led the due diligence for multiple investments. Before moving into Venture Capital, Nick held senior sales, marketing and product management roles for software companies that have realized over $1.3 billion in exit value, including: Opower (IPO), RAGE Frameworks (acquired by Genpact), Basware (Publicly-traded on OMX), and Comverge (acquired by Itron).
He actively mentors startups out of Cornell Tech, NYU, Northeastern University and the German Tech Accelerator. Nick has a MSc in Global Finance from NYU and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, a MBA in Corporate Finance from Northeastern University and a BA in History from Brandeis University where he played four years of varsity baseball.
Mitchell Kleinhandler is a venture partner at Differential Ventures.
Mitchell is also a Board Partner and former Venture Partner at Scout Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm. He is an investor, advisor, and consultant to startups and has extensive expertise in the financing, development, and management of early stage and growth companies across diverse industry verticals.
Prior to Scout Mitchell was a serial entrepreneur with a record of success as a founding partner and senior level executive of numerous startup and growth businesses in both the United States and Europe.
Mitchell's expertise also extends to acquisitions, financing, management, marketing, consolidation, restructuring, integration, reorganization, and the sale of existing operating businesses. His primary focus remains in subscription-based recurring revenue business models, building off of an expertise in the telecom, media, and digital sectors.
Tiffany Kim is an analyst at Differential Ventures.
Prior to Differential, she worked in growth and analytics at Ampush and Redesign Health, where she ran go-to-market on the founding team of a men's healthcare company. Before working in growth, she worked in venture capital at Pillar, and was the first employee at getservice.com, where she worked on product and go-to-market.
Tiffany graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a BS in Economics. Outside of work, Tiffany enjoys surfing and basketball.
